The Y1 capacitor is a safety capacitor, and such a capacitor will not cause electric shock after the capacitor fails, and will not endanger personal safety. It includes two types of X capacitors and Y capacitors. X capacitors are capacitors connected between the two lines of the power line (L-N), and metal film capacitors are generally used; Y capacitors are connected between the two lines of the power line and the ground (L-E , N-E) capacitance, generally appear in pairs. Based on the limitation of the leakage current, the value of the Y capacitor should not be too large. Generally, the X capacitor is uF level, and the Y capacitor is nF level. The X capacitor suppresses differential mode interference, and the Y capacitor suppresses common mode interference.
 

The bottom of the Y capacitor is divided into Y1, Y2, Y3, and Y4. The main differences are:
 

1. Y1 high voltage resistance is greater than 8 kV,
2. Y2 high voltage resistance is greater than 5 kV,
3. Y3 high pressure resistance n/a
4. Y4 high voltage resistance is greater than 2.5 kV
